Payroll and Pensions Administrator

 

£27,000-£30,000 depending on experience

 

37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday - Friday

 

Holiday entitlement is 25 days plus bank holidays.

We are seeking to appoint a Payroll and Pensions Administrator.  We are seeking someone who is conscientious, hard-working and who takes pride administering accurate and timely payroll as well as maintaining high standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering end-to-end payroll, ensuring strict deadlines are met, in accordance with best practice, current legislation and company operating procedures.

The successful candidate will report to the Payroll Manager and the Director of Finance.

Experience of administering the Local Government Pension Scheme and/or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme is desirable but not essential.

Experience of Sage 50 is desirable but not essential.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrating all aspects and stages of the monthly payroll
  • Managing standing payroll data, including starters, leavers, maternity, tax codes, pay rates, pension contribution rates
  • Processing adjustments to pay and pension contributions
  • Producing accurate monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Submitting statutory reports, including pension returns
  • Maintaining appropriate records for audit purposes
  • Year-end reporting
  • Responding to general queries from employees and management on payroll and pension matters
