 Peripatetic Music Teachers

Part Time, Casual (Self-Employed Peripatetic Teacher)

Salary £36 per hour

Thomas Telford School is seeking inspiring and highly skilled and experienced peripatetic music teachers to join its successful, vibrant, supportive, and enthusiastic Music Department.

The successful candidates will teach students from beginner level through to advanced performers, including students preparing for graded examinations and for future training post 18. You will tailor your teaching to support a diverse range of learning styles and musical goals, while inspiring and encouraging students to participate fully in the musical life of the School.

Lessons are delivered during the School’s Session 3 programme, operating between 3.00pm and 6.30pm, and candidates should be available to teach within these hours.

Working closely with colleagues across the Music Department, you would be welcome to contribute to extracurricular music opportunities, whilst promoting high musical standards and enjoyment, commitment, and achievement. 

Thomas Telford School’s Music Department thrives on a culture of collaboration and excellence, nurturing students throughout their musical journey. Students regularly participate in performances both in and out of school, including regional and national competitions, with many achieving exceptional standards.

Please note that this is a self-employed position. Peripatetic teachers will invoice the student’s families directly for lessons, in line with school procedures.
