School Janitor

Full Time

Hourly rate £13.10 per hour

This 11-18 City Technology College with an enrolment of 1500 students is seeking to appoint a Janitor to join our Site Team at one of the top performing Schools in the country. Experience of working in a School environment is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided for a suitable applicant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Opening the School 
• Assisting with security when required
• Ad hoc tasks around school, for example delivering parcels and setting up examination venues
• Assisting with the cleaning team on occasion
• General maintenance
• Checking stock levels of cleaning and other equipment and ordering where required
• Assisting the Buildings and Fabrics Manager with duties where required

Working hours:

Monday & Friday: 7:00am–4:00pm; Tuesday–Thursday: 10:00am–6:00pm (1-hour unpaid break daily), totalling 37 hours per week. Saturday work will be required (hours agreed), with time off in lieu provided as one weekday (Tuesday–Thursday), by agreement.
